NASA ramps up support to get Boeing's astronaut capsule flying after Butch and Suni fiasco

NASA is throwing extra support and money behind Boeing’s troubled astronaut capsule to get it fixed and flying again as soon as possible. The space agency announced the news Monday. Boeing’s Starliner capsule had so many problems in 2024 that its test pilots were stuck at the International Space Station for nearly a year. NASA later slapped its most severe classification on the botched mission. SpaceX intends to phase out its Falcon 9 rockets and Dragon capsules to focus on its newer, bigger Starship. That’s why NASA is so keen to redeem Boeing’s ride for not only the current space station, but all the private stations to come.
