Take-Two CEO Says 'PC Platform is Becoming More and More Important'

PS5 and Xbox Series Sales Jumped by a Third in the UK Following GTA 6 Reveal

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick in an investors meeting held this week attended by GamesRadar revealed the PC market is becoming more important for them. This is despite Grand Theft Auto VI not releasing day one on PC.

“I assume this is a question regarding the cadence of PC launches,” Zelnick said when asked about if the console shortages would change the delivery of games on PC. “The strategy of the company is, over time, generally speaking, to launch for any platforms for which there’s a meaningful audience. But that isn’t always the case, and certainly, if platforms were no longer viable, we could change that strategy.”

He added, “And I would note that the PC platform is becoming more and more important to our company over time.”

A PC released for Grand Theft Auto VI has not officially been announced, but is likely given the track record of developer Rockstar.

Grand Theft Auto V first released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, followed by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2014. It wouldn’t get a PC release until April 2015.

Grand Theft Auto VI will launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
